Snuggled Away - Children's Book
Cate Storey writes children’s books that connect children to Australia’s unique landscapes, wildlife, and ecology. Cate’s writing is informed by her background in ecology, conservation and education. She has a teaching degree with a major in geography, a masters in environmental analysis, and a diploma in conservation, and land management. Cate spent her childhood running around in the Australian bush, finding small animals to befriend, and exploring the ways of plants, birds and insects. Cate comes from a family of environmental scientists: her grandmother was a botanist specialising in the evolution of Australian flora, and her mother studies the ecology of plants and fire. As both a mother of small children and an educator, Cate uses storytelling to inspire curious and passionate young people to discover Australia’s flora and fauna, and to fight to protect them.
